My Story
Hello, I’m Patrick and it’s great to meet you!
I have a Mathematics Teacher Certification for secondary grades (7-12) and a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rhode Island College. I have 3+ years of professional math teaching experience in the classroom setting. I have been tutoring math one-on-one for 15+ years in subjects that include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, College Algebra, as well as PSAT Math, SAT Math, and ACT Math. I am an experienced in-person and online virtual tutor with students ranging in ages 10 years and up.
I specialize in one-on-one settings, where I connect with students and find the best way to relate to them. With that connection built on mutual respect, I find it much easier to carefully explain concepts in multiple ways to ensure students understand the material. I have a great deal of patience and a strong passion to be the best tutor I can be. My patience with students and their different learning styles is what sets me apart from other tutors. I enjoy helping students learn at their own pace and guiding them to success in their math goals.

My daughter has used Patrick 2 times and we will continue with him. He is knowledgeable and very good at breaking down math concepts to help her understand what she misses in school. Patrick has tutored both my two children in Geometry and Algebra 2 for the past few months. They both find him very patient and really takes the time to explain each concept. He has a great knowledge in both topics. Very accommodating with schedules. I would have no hesitation in recommending Patrick.
Patient and made a difficult subject easy to understand!
My daughter is a straight A student. Up until now she has always grasped the concepts. Math had been her best subject. All students in class are challenged and I suspect it is the teacher not breaking down the concept. She was absent on test day to view and see a private school campus. It seems all students that day who were also top students failed test. He prepared her for the test and her confidence is up that she will pass it with flying colors. Wonderful first session
My son was very positive about his first session with Patrick. He felt he learned a lot and regained his confidence in his math skills. Patrick provided a summary of the session that was helpful to me as a parent, and matched the feedback from my teenage son. We plan to have future sessions!
Extremely patient, personable, and knowledgeable
My son had one session with Patrick for Algebra 2. He gives him a 10 out of 10. When I asked him why, he said that Patrick was extremely patient, personable, and knowledgeable. He explained that sometimes tutors seem annoyed, and Patrick never did, plus he made complex concepts easy to understand. We will be using Patrick for the rest of the year!
